| Program Focus |

This collaborative program of the college together with the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for TVET aims to address competency gaps of teachers in identifying instructive approaches, technology-based resources, and build on existing capacities to strengthen their vocational pedagogy. It also seek to support development of sustainable and digital societies, which will enable them to participate in the digital and global economy/marketplace. With plans to synergize TVET agenda with digital advancements the determine the skills necessary for communities to advance toward digital transformation while reaping the benefits of it on a bigger and wider scale, these are to be achieved through tapping participants from teacher training institutions, who in turn will effectively design teacher training programs which explores pedagogies and technologies as vital components in promoting quality deliver of TVET.

| Objective |

The objectives of the Program are to:

  • Foster learning on improving quality in TVET through the use of technologies in teacher training
  • Build the capacity of TVET teachers and trainers in improving pedagogical and didactical teaching approaches by adapting appropriate technologies and identifying and accessing open educational resources and curating teacher training resources
  • Provide hands-on practice in assessing teacher competencies and building competencies for applying pedagogy-technology approaches in vocational education and training
