| Program Focus |

TVET is unique in the field of education in Nepal. TVET is based on young people mastering skills and the concepts behind those skills, over a working lifetime to get a first job and then remain employable as technology and society change. TVET system in Nepal is a demand driven, accessible, beneficiary financed, and quality assured system that meets the needs of society and economy. Acquiring knowledge and expertise on the use of ICT for teaching and learning online will be a huge asset for sustaining and expanding TVET system in Nepal. CPSC, as an inter-governmental organization for the development of TVET in the Asia and the Pacific Region answers this call. This In-Country Program on ICT for Teaching and Learning in TVET Systems in collaboration with Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) – Nepal is geared towards providing an opportunity for the TVET teachers to know the applications of ICT in education, training and management, different innovative web-enabled ICT practices available, very practical experiences in using the E-learning authoring tools, software and technologies, and to learn how to make E-teaching and learning systems effectively.

| Objectives |

At the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

  • Appreciate the use of ICT applications for teaching and learning process
  • Explain basic concepts of ICT based education, training and management
  • Develop rich media E-learning resource for courseware of the CTEVT Online Program
  • Apply the emerging trends in E-learning in their own institutions
  • Customize their own learning management system that they can use in their institutions for online delivery
