| Program Focus |

With TVET experiencing much and rapid development in recent years, the TVET sector specifically in the Asia-Pacific region needs to cope up and adapt quickly. However, careful planning and management is needed in order to make these developments opportunities for growth and progress, and to secure that the gains will sustain and continue to adapt with the changing tides of the global marketplace. Ensuring quality, on the other hand, should not be neglected if the goal is continuity of TVET’s advancement. Proper measures, monitoring and evaluation must be in place, and should be consistently revisited. These are the realizations the organizers had, and are the main driving factors in organizing this important event. An International Conference on “Skills in TVET for Sustainability” will be conducted in conjunction with the Regional Program to further broaden the reach and learnings for the participants.

| Objectives |

The objectives of the Regional Program are for the participants to be able to:

  • Know the various approaches and innovations in TVET implemented by the member countries
  • Appreciate the need and importance of standards, quality and accreditation relative to the national, regional and global labor market
  • Gain insights on APACC accreditation as a continuous improvement approach to organizational excellence in TVET
  • Provide opportunities for invited member countries to discuss possibilities of realigning TVET skills towards a more sustainable approach
  • Learn the best practices and models of TVET
  • Formulate action plans on realigning skills for sustainable development that is specifically tailored to the needs of the member countries and their respective institutions
